Marvell Studies is planning a special issue for fall 2026 on manuscript circulation and book history. Edited by Diane Purkiss, the issue will include essays (by Johanna Harris, Julie Park, Patrick McGrath, and Stewart Mottram) on the material circulation of Marvell’s poetry and prose, in both manuscript and print, especially how that circulation raises questions about the theory of the republic of letters and the reception and efficacy of satire.
